Joost interview with Chief Technology Officer

Netkwesties has a 4-part interview with chief technology officer Dirk-Willem van Gulik about Joost. Highlights of the interview include:
- The start of Joost was triggered by bandwidth and broadband connections, availability of content, and the sale of Skype
- Started highering in Jan, 2006 and first serious coding just started late May
- Completely different form the interactive searching, downloading and then watching little videoscreens like with YouTube.
- Statistics show that people just watch more and more tv.
- Beta test shows people are connected very long times and are loyal to channels
- The user interface is understood well by testers
- Partnering with electronics companies to plug in ethernet
- Very logical next step is HDTV
